Do you have to play e-Lotbidder to gain the commission?

Do you have to play e-Lotbidder to gain the commission from a player in your genealogy?

I didn't particularly wish to play.

Whats the minimum I could play to get the commission?

short and sweet - yes you do have to pay to get the commision and costs £15 every 4 weeks
