e-lotbidder unable to process bids!

Looks like the server has been overloaded in the closing minutes of the auction. Grrrrrrr.

I was getting:

"Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005'

Transaction (Process ID 138) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction.

/common/shared/BidHistory.asp, line 166 "

everytime I submitted a bid.

Not best pleased as I had saved my bids for the last 10 mins as I guess everyone else had! I guess I won't be driving a Merc CLK anytime soon then!

Same thing happened to me.
Annoying thing is that the banner at the top of your home page on your back office says that there is 2 hours 50 minutes left.

I was still able to add bids, just took 5 attempts.

Bet the winning unique bid was around £50.00

Unhappy I can't take the pressure!

I've been sat at my PC for the last 5 hours almost none stop thinking I would have a really goot shot at winning the Merc - but my PC has been playing up something wrotten over the last week and tonight was not much better. I knew I had to save some bids for the closing minutes, but then, would my PC work fast enough?!

Damn!

Still, I guess I've lost nothing. I thought was going to have a heart attack with the excitement. This is far worse than the adrenalin rush of ebay.

I can't take it. Someone take me to the asylum, please.

Wink Has Tom called yet?

Tom hasn't phoned me yet - I wonder if he's lost my number?
