I made it onto 1st page in GOOGLE!!

Wow, I just noticed today that my website has made it onto the 1st page on google! ( OK its 8th from the bottom of 50 results!) Im so pleased that all my ad posts and URL's are finally getting me noticed. Does anyone have any tips to getting bumped up the list a little more?

For the last few months i have been placing free ads ( with a link back to my site)and manually submitting my web address to as many search engines as i can. Seems to be paying off. Have also been mentioning VWD and my website in forums.

Don't wanna curb your enthusiasm mate but what was the keyword. good chance its not competitive with no traffic. I'm working on getting to 1st page for some keys too so would be nice to see how you're getting on too :-) thanks tom

Not to put a downer on thing but vwd or virtual world direct to me are not the kind of keywords i think people will be searching for.Now what would be great is if you got on the first page for Lottery if you was targeting players or Home based Business if you was aiming for affiliates.The only people who would be searching for vwd or virtual world direct, are the ones who have already visited the site and are looking for reviews or more info about the company themselfs.

Yeah, still some searches tho so not too shabby. I'm nearly first page for UK National Lottery and should be top 10 for National Lottery in 2 months. Can't wait :-) spent ages on the site tom

Well thank you. Like i said, im still way down the page but its still a big achievement for me after months of being down on page 6! Well done to you too for being on 1st page for National Lottery as that must be really hard to do with so many lottery results. Ive also been talking about it alot to a friend of mine who presents GMTV in the mornings to try and get a mention, dont get me wrong i dont expect a full on plug on national tv, but he does quite alot of newspaper and magazine interviews especially at the moment as he has been commentating at the tennis. so will see how that goes.
