DVD Conversion Ratio

For those people whoe regularly send out DVD's via a capture page, just looking to see what sort of sign-up ratio you get?

I've read some historical posts but wanted to guage results at this moment in time.

Myself and Dan (one of my other affiliates) have so far had a 100% signup success rate on DVD's that have been requested. This is on 6 so far... a small number I know but a great start.

DVD's are requested and then follow ups are made with all of them

We did trial just posting some dvd's with a covering letter to see what sort of response we would get. We posted about 60 and didnt get 1 signup!

So I think it goes to show that if you speak to someone or you have actually had a request for the info you have a lot more chance of signing someone up than just taking a stab in the dark so to speak

Are you charging them for the DVD's Mike? My results aren't great to date - sent out in the region of 75 DVD's over the last 5-6 weeks to people who had requested them but only 1 sign-up to date.

Only one of them was charged for, the others have been sent for free. The 75 you have sent out... did you follow up on all of them?

Manually. I have set up an AR but not using it as it still requires confirmation and could end up with similar situation to having Pending Confs in my prospector.

Hmm... well what I have been doing is using awebar. Like you I have a series of 6 emails sent at a set interval.

When I have dispatched the DVD, I manually add the email address to the autoresponder (no confirmation required) and then they get the 6 emails.

The best thing about this is if it got to a stage where someone has received all of the 6 mails then you still have there email address sitting there in the autoresponder.

This is great for when there is a Lotto or Euromillions rollover... you can then send the active people in the list an email about the rollover.

2 other things:-

If after the 6 emails they still havent signed up you could always just post them a letter (just incase they didnt receive the emails) asking them whether they received it bla bla bla

Also when someone requests a DVD its a good idea just to send a few short lines in an email along the lines of "We have received your request and are just confirming that you did actually make the request and we have the correct details for you" etc

If they respond... send it - if they dont then its up to you.

Sounds like we doing pretty similar things Mike - possibly the same six e-mails as they were passed down the line to me.
