Support Service and Closing the Shop

One of the main weaknesses of marketing via the internet is that prospects do not know any of us from Adam and yet they are being asked to believe we are genuine and part with their hard earned cash.A few Saturdays ago the payment system had somehow placed me in a brand new syndicate and took an extra £30.This was eventually refunded after numerous calls during the week and I was not impressed by one operator to be told "it's with the programmers and we'll call back" needless to say the call was never returned and this is discourteous and unprofessional.I had to call during the week although originally I was pleased to note that the office would be open on a Saturday until 3.00pm and when I rang at 2.30 PM I got a message to call back on Monday !Clearly someone had gone home early.I would be interested to hear what people think about the website generally but I think the experience for anyone landing on the homepage is somewhat confusing. The site looks squashed and on the homepage there is too much going on creating confusion in the propect's mind. Why doesn't the site fill the whole screen;this IMHO gives a cheap look and again makes a prospect conclude it's unprofessional.Check this out with any webmaster and compare our site to those sites which have won awards. It should be kept simple.People are reassured to see hopefully the affiliate's name on the homepage but wouldn't it be better to also have a phone mumber and a link such as Ask me a question ring this number etc. This immediately reassures that there is a person behind the site and not some offshore scam company where you'll never get your money back.It is therefore a mistake that someone is not available to take questions 24/7.An Online operator link could be set up.Our shop should never be closed otherwise an enquiring propspect will look elsewhere.
