Paul Monks and Fred Burgess are always coming up with new and different ways to promote e-lottery and keep their businesses growing. This is why, last weekend, they joined forces and set up a stand in the Chester Costco supermarket.
“I seemed to get the raw end of the deal,” said Paul. “Fred ended up talking to all the ladies, while I was left with the men!”
All joking aside, this shows that there are always interesting ways to promote e-lottery. You can do something similar anywhere you have people walking by: shopping malls, town markets, car boot sales, shows and fairs, business events, summer fêtes, even on the high street…
The pop-up banners definitely help draw attention to your stand, and then the other materials that you can hand out to people can be downloaded. In fact, everything you need to run your own event can be found in your back office!
Fred said, “Many people were approaching with their trolleys – poised to transform into battering rams if the going got tough… [We needed] something that could be said to these people to make them want to stop and listen. After about 30 minutes or so we came up with, ‘Hello, you obviously shop at Costco because you’re a smarter shopper. If you play the lottery, let me show you how you can be a smarter player.’ You know what – it worked. All in all it was a great day. Had some fun, met lots of nice people and achieved the goal: got some good prospects!”
